This painting was created by using acrylic paint to make an animal, in which case for me was a koala. A cool color scheme was used mainly throughout the piece but a warm color for the branches was added. I gave the koala texture and value by putting multiple layers and shades of grey. By placing the koala in the middle of the composition makes the piece feel balanced. Because the koala is holding a branch your eyes naturally follow it and then the rest of the background which creates good movement.
